So I’ve talked a lot on this blog about the need for our athletes to be strong, today I thought I would talk a little bit about core strength which is one of THE MOST important things in gymnastics. Although I have about a million things that I would like to show you, regretfully don’t have my own videos (yet. That’s the goal for the next few months). But, in the meantime, here are some things that might be helpful.
This first video is another very nice video by Mary Lee Tracy. I have to say, physio balls are one of my favorite things to have in the gym. Add them to floor bars which I absolutely can’t have enough of, and you have the perfect drill.
This second video is a nice little conditioning/kipping excercise to add as a side station or at the beginning of your bars complex to build those much needing kipping muscles.
