Do you ever finding yourself going through phases of drills. Using a set of drills for a really long time, and then all of a sudden not using it any more? Or forgetting about it? I seem to do that more than I would like. And then I come across someone who is using a drill I forgot about and pick it up again. It’s so interesting how circular the gymnastics world is. Here are some I had forgotten.
For instance, full turns from a knee. I had TOTALLY forgotten about them. I have mixed feelings about them, but I do think they have their place and totally had just misplaced them in my brain.
This second drill is also one that I forgot when teaching giengers. I most often seem to see people doing the high fly away late turn route, or the layout to stand on bar route when beginning that I had totally forgotten this drill existed.
