Targeting your weaknesses with conditioning

Hi All,

So I love making lists. I make lists of just about everything. But I think one of the most important things to make lists of is conditioning lists. This isn’t just so that you have a record of what you are having your gymnasts do, it’s because it gives you the ability to match up how your gymnasts are performing and what you’re doing for conditioning, it gives you the ability to look at weaknesses in your program and address them directly because you have because without a record of what you did, it’s hard to plan for the future.

This first video is from Tony Retrosi and is his plan for conditioning for his old 4s-6s. A list doesn’t have to be written down, it can be a video etc. As long as you have some record of what you did/are doing so you know where to make adjustments.

This second one is a video from Salto Cafe of some of their conditioning. What are the weaknesses in your program? How can you address them through your conditioning program? Are your gymnasts weak on kips? What are you doing to condition those muscles? etc.

Train hard!
