So many issues

Hi All,

So today’s videos are going to be about round-offs. As you might have guessed from the title there can be SO MANY problems associated with round-offs. They can happen in every single phase, and have things to do with anything from length and height of hurdle to gymnasts position when they’re on their hands. Teaching round-offs can be a difficult process especially when one is trying to get a quality skill.

This first drill was made my Mary Lee Tracy as a round-offs for yurchenkos video but everything in it still applies. The Xs on the ground are a nice touch. I’ve done similar things but that seems easier/more effective than what I’ve done in the past….may just have to do that now 🙂 Anyhow, great video, useful tips, very nice shapes.

This second one is a nice little drill by Daniel McCarty. Again, notice the focus on shapes. The stretch, line, and alignment going into the round-off are so important. Breaking the skill down into a million little pieces will help you in the long run.
