More Pirouetting Set-Ups

Hi All,

One of the biggest issues I hear coming from coaches is that they don’t have the equipment to set-up a specific drill, or they don’t have those things in that specific part of the gym that they’re in at that time. So today I thought I would share some a bunch of different pirouetting set-ups, in the hopes that you’ll find one that works for you.

Even more pirouetting set-ups

This first video has a whole bunch of set-ups that you can use for blind changes. I’m sure you can find something in here that will work for you. Some of my favorites involve the slanted mat or springboard. I find that you get kids to understand the feeling of the skill (being closer to upside down) – but you get better shapes than you might if they were in handstand.

I know a lot of people don’t have a lot of wall space – but if you’ve a wall with a bar hanging off of it, this is definitely an interesting way of getting around it (or even using it to your advantage).
