Today I wanted to share this great video on handstand development. A lot of us when teaching handstands (especially at first) focus on things like all the way up, straight legs, levering etc. But I really like how much time Sebastian spends talking about rib position, shoulder flexibility and some really good ways to get our kids into that ideal handstand shape. There are easily a dozen exercises in here that are really easy to incorporate into your warm-ups. If you are having issues with your handstand shapes, or just want to improve the look and technique of your gymnasts I would suggest putting a bunch of these in your warm-up, especially during the summer.
