I don’t know what to do

Hi All,

So I know in lower level rec classes a lot of coaches struggle with finding enough things to do (and enough things that are different every week). So today I thought I would share two really easy and good things to add to your classes that you may not have been doing/may have forgotten about.

This first one is just overhang walks on bars. I think that we sometimes forget how important these are. Gymnasts really need to develop grip strength, and the younger the better. If you’ve got a pit in your gym it’s always great to do it over the pit because it adds an extra fun element to it.

This second one shows a whole bunch of different ways you can get kids over/around obstacles on beam. Once your gymnasts have mastered walking its important to have them experience other movements as well. Standing up and sitting down in different ways, lifting their legs/knees etc.

Train hard!
