Changing your warm-ups for summer

Hi All,

So I have done a few posts about warm-ups before, but right now is a particularly good time to think about what is in yours. Season is officially over, and it’s a great time to reevaluate how we spend our time in the gym. You may be increasing hours for summer, or you may just be changing up your rotation schedules. Either way, now is the time to take a good look at each and every inch of your program.

Warm-ups can make more a difference than you think. If you are using the same warm-up every day, the muscle memory your kids are gaining from it is incredible, that being said, you need to make sure the muscle memory they are developing is what you want them to. Are you struggling on a certain event? What conditioning can you add to the warm-up to help with that? Are you struggling with back injuries due to lack of shoulder flexibility? What can you do to address that?

Here is a nice three part warm-up that may give you some ideas for your own.
